The Nashville Zen Center was started over 25 years ago by a
few people who desired to meet regularly to meditate and to
discuss Buddhist philosophy. Today the group has over 30
members who come from diverse backgrounds and form a
loosely organized sangha of both veteran practitioners and
rank beginners. Since it is not affiliated with any
specific
Zen
school, the center invites various Zen masters to lead
retreats organized by the center in and around
Nashville.
